Description
These Tea bowls are altered after throwing with some paddle marks and the Eggardon Hill Stamp, partially obscured by a run of glaze. The Shino glaze ranges in color from milky white to orange, often breaks red at the rim where the glaze thins and sometimes there is charcoal grey spotting, known as “carbon trap” which is the trapping of carbon in the glaze during the firing process. This teabowl has a splash of Beech ash glaze added.
